BREEDEN, Lewis Harrison & Sophia Elvira Ogle Breeden I have located my Great-Grandparents, Sophia Elvira Ogle and Lewis Harrison Breeden, originally from the Jones Cove, Sevier County, Tennessee area, living in Marmaton, Bourbon County, Kansas in the 1885 Kansas Census. They and their children are listed by first name initials..such as: E. Breeden, L. Breeden. Elvira died in 1886 and I am unable to find where she is buried. Lewis did not return to Tennessee until 1902 and died in 1919. He is buried in the Rollen Cemetery off Jones Cove Road in Sevier County, but Elvira is not buried there. I am assuming that Elvira was buried in Kansas, but cannot find info anywhere. If anyone has this info, I would appreciate so much if you would share with me. Or if you could give me advise on how to search. Most of the children had returned to TN at some date for they married local spouses. I am unable to find Leonard b:1870 or Mary Jane b:1872. Thanks so much for any help anyone can offer.

BROWN, James & Roxanna Powell Searching for information on James Brown and Roxanna Powell. Married in Sevier County on 23 Oct 1876. I am especially interested in any information on Roxanna. In the 1880 census James and Roxanna have 3 children; Elizabeth, David "Bud", and Dicy. (I am related through Dicy). Perhaps Roxanna was married before James Brown. According to the census he would have been 10 years old when Elizabeth was born - so I doubt he is her father. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

HAWORTH, Laura Randles You might say I have two BrickWalls, my GGrandmother Laura Randles, and her sister Mary. There is a good possibility both Laura and Mary were born in Sevier County, but are listed in the 1880 Census as living in Jefferson Co. Laura was married to Richard Haworth and the mother of Dora, Ladoska Lee, Charles, Owen and Rachel. Mary was married to Calvin McGee who operated the Ferry at Indian Creek. At one point, after 1891, Laura and Richard took their family to Iowa, and that is where Laura left her family when they started to return to Jefferson County. To our knowledge she was never heard from again. We do have a partial letter that was written to Mary from someone in Sinton, Texas. It appears to be a man, and he refers to Mary as $ister Mary....making his S's like dollar marks. Mary remained in the New Market area and helped raise Laura's children. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

HEDRICK, James Thomas I am looking for the Hedrick family that lived in TN as early as 1827. James Thomas Hedrick was born in TN that year. He moved to Missouri before 1850. James married Nancy Logan, b. 29 November 1825 in TN, on 8 October 1852 in Greene Co., MO. They had one child, William, born on 23 November 1852. James died/left before the 1860 census as Nancy and son William Cowdry Hedrick are living with her parents, Tarlton and Jane (Camel/Campbell) Logan. The names of William's children are Riley Bryant, William Harvey, Elizabeth Jane, James Franklin, Martha Ellen, Mary Evelyn, George Audrey, Leota May and Florence Luceta. John was born 1828 in East TN. and Jane was born 1822 in East TN. They married at the Baptist Church of Christ in Cosby, Cocke County abt.1849-1852. Their first born, Samuel Henry, was born 1850 and William M. Henry was born 1852, their daughter Hannah was born abt. 1860. She is reported to be buried in Old Henry Cemetery #1 off Old Henry Town Rd. and Jones Cove Rd. She is buried beside or near William Henry b:1748 and Elizabeth Jones Henry. Rev.John and Jane moved to McNairy Co.TN. abt.1870-1880s. Their sons also moved there too WilliamB:1852 and his wife Eliza (Henry) Henry her parents were John "Gooston" and Mary Henry. I believe these two Johns are cousins and their fathers were brothers. If anyone has any info on this family I would sure love to hear from you.

SMITH, James Ezekial I'm writing to ask if you'll keep an eye out for the grave of my great grandfather, Rev. James Ezekial Smith. Born 12 Aug 1874 in Brunswick Co, NC, he married Mary Annie Moore, the daughter of Robert James Moore, a sea captain from Snead's Ferry, NC. Rev. Smith was a circuit-riding preacher who established a little church in Pigeon Forge (possibly Advent Christian). He died of diabetes in Dec 1915 at age 41 while on one of his visits and is buried there. I understand that a monument or marker was erected in his memory - but I have no idea by whom (I assume by the church members.)
He left his wife and 5 children (including my grandfather) penniless in Wilmington, NC. Unable to take care of the children, Annie put the children in Barium Springs Orphanage. She died 6 years later at age 46 and is buried here in Wilmington. As each child reached age 16, each returned to Wilmington. Because both parents died so young, many questions were left unanswered. I've located the graves of most all the family here in eastern North Carolina, but Rev Smith is unreachable. I do so hope that someone in Pigeon Forge will come across his marker and recall that his great granddaughter is looking for him.

WEBB, George W. I am looking for information regarding ancestry of George W. WEBB , born 9/15/1833 TN and died 6/1/1871. He is buried in Dockery Cemetery in Jones Cove, Sevier County. He married Martha Jane Connatser 11/26/1951 and they had 6 children. I don't know how he died. Martha remarried and was the third wife of Bryant Breeden and they had more children. Martha is also buried in Dockery Cemetery under the name Martha Breeden. George and Martha's son Wilson Webb is buried there also. Their other children were: James Webb, Mary J. Webb, Andrew Harrison Webb (my gggrandfather) who married Mary Patty, Cynthia Webb who married William R. Patty, and Elizabeth. There are several Webbs in Sevier County and I cannot seem to connect my George to a previous generation. Also does anyone know where Cynthia Webb Patty was buried. I was told her husband shot her while cleaning his gun and she died in 1904, but I cannot find her grave or an obit. Any help is greatly appreciated.
